Weavings

My first adventures into weaving are in taking this ancient women’s art and using a modern twist in warping a circular embroidery hoop.

In these uncertain days creating these pieces are. wonderful calming meditation and an exploration of color.

Inspiration comes from the small - in peering into rock pools at low tide but also the large and the wild waters of the Corryvrecken Whirlpool, the Cailleach’s Cauldron.
